Cardboard Duct Tape Boat Regatta - Tuesday, August 7, Boat building at 4:00, Race at 6:00 - Beach at Knoll Park

Notice: Limit of 60 boats. The first 60 entries get the boats.

Entry Fee $15.00 per boat/team.

Fun for the whole family. Boats made entirely of cardboard and duct tape.

Each team is supplied corrugated cardboard, sticks, and 2 rolls of duct tape.

Bring life jackets, paddles, utility knives, marking pens to decorate boats, costumes--whatever.

4:00 pm teams start buidling their boats. Each team can have two assistants.

6:00 pm the races start.

Categories

Youth team (two riders) up to 12 years old

Adult team (two riders) 13 years and up

Family team (two riders) one adult (12+), one youth (-12)

Freestyle: (Boats made prior to regatta– not limited on amount of cardboard, duct tape or construction time) One or two riders, Duct tape and cardboard only, no other structural materials. Decorative materials and costumes are OK.

Each participant is responsible to provide their own utility knives for cutting, life vests, paddles, and markers/spray paint for decoration.

Boat number must be written or painted in a visible place on the boat prior to race times.
